Mia Liu is a Senior Project Lead with over a decade of industry experience delivering interior design projects across workplace, healthcare, hospitality, education, and sports and recreation sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Interior Design and a Diploma of Interior Design, and is NCIDQ Certified as well as a WELL Accredited Professional.  

Her work spans all phases of the design process—from programming and initial space planning to technical documentation and contract administration. Grounded in technical excellence and strong project coordination, she excels at navigating complex requirements and leading multidisciplinary teams from concept development through to construction completion. Mia has extensive experience across a broad range of sectors, where she translates client goals into thoughtful, highly functional environments that balance creativity, budget, schedule, and long-term adaptability.

Mia’s approach is rooted in creating thoughtful, human-centred environments that balance functionality, technical excellence, and design quality. Rather than applying a singular design language, she develops tailored solutions that respond directly to the unique needs, users, and context of each project. She believes successful outcomes are built on open communication, trust, and proactive collaboration with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams. By prioritizing thoughtful decision-making and clear communication, Mia creates practical, inspiring spaces designed to elevate the experience of the people who use them.

Beyond Design

Outside of her professional practice, Mia is passionate about exploring how environments can better support neurodiversity and overall wellbeing. Curious by nature, she enjoys learning about philosophy, science, and the broader ideas that shape how we understand human experience. In her free time, she loves spending time outdoors on local walking trails, discovering new places to eat, and spending quality time with family and friends.
