Margarette (Maggie) Cruz is an Interior Designer and Project Lead at Holland Design. Her educational foundation spans both science and design, culminating in a Diploma in Interior Design Technology followed by a Bachelor of Interior Design from Yorkville University.
Maggie brings a versatile background built through years of experience working across small residential and commercial studios to large multidisciplinary firms. Her career is defined by a strong technical foundation and hands-on dedication, balancing full-time practice alongside her degree studies. This experience gives her a well-rounded approach to managing complex project demands and delivering thoughtful interior environments.
Maggie’s approach is rooted in empathy, intentionality, and inclusive design. Recognizing that people spend the majority of their lives indoors in spaces for work, living, exercise, or dining, she believes every environment deserves careful thought to ensure people of all backgrounds and abilities feel comfortable and welcomed. She approaches each project with genuine curiosity and enthusiasm, working closely with clients to understand their unique goals while balancing the practical needs of the end users who will inhabit the space.
Outside of the office, Maggie loves to stay active, creative, and inspired. She is a hands-on maker who enjoys painting and exploring new creative outlets like embroidery. To stay grounded and energized, she regularly practices Pilates and yoga. Maggie is also an avid traveler who values exploring new cultures and places, using travel as a source of fresh inspiration and broadened perspectives.
